EXPERIENCE

I was a curious and determined student while pursuing my Master's degree from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. I was awarded Junior Research Fellowship from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering conducted by the Indian Institution of Science during the same time.

Subsequently, I joined Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Mohali, India as a research scholar. During my time there, I developed expertise in confocal imaging and standardized the technique of live-imaging of the Shoot Apical Meristem (SAM) in the plant model organism Arabidopsis thaliana. I worked at IISER Mohali for a period of two years (after compleing PhD course work and research training).

After a brief hiatus from the research world, I again appeared for Junior Research Fellowship examination organised by UGC-CSIR in December 2019 and cleared it.I continued my research journey as a Ph.D. candidate in the Algal Ecotechnology and Sustainability group under Prof. Kiran Bala at the Mehta Family School of Biosciences and Biomedial Engineering, IIT Indore. I was awarded the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India for my doctoral research project. I successfully defended my Ph.D. thesis on "Identification of microalgal and cyanobacterial metabolites for antidiabetic therapeutics" in 2026. I am currently looking for academic opportunities to explore my research interests in the field of system endocrinology, metabolism, immune regulation and gut-brain biology
